Merkel’s three-day Lebanon visit starts at Grand Serail

German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, arrived at Rafik Hariri International Airport on Friday on a three-day official visit to Lebanon whereby she is set to meet with General Michel Aoun, Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who greeted her at the airport along with the German Ambassador to Lebanon Martin Huth and ranking dignitaries.

A formal reception was held in honor of the German Chancellor, and then Merkel and the accompanying delegation headed to the Grand Serail.

Merkel's visit to Lebanon comes two weeks before she would submit to her government a report on an overall vision of the issue of displaced Syrians.
