Yemen’s Ambassador to Cuba Confirms Iran’s Continued Interference, in his Country Affairs, Destabilizing the Region

Havana, Yemen Ambassador to Cuba Mohammad Saleh Nasher confirmed that Iran continues to interfere in the internal affairs of his country and destabilize the region by providing the Houthi militias with weapons.

Ambassador Nasher added, following a meeting with Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department of Cuban Foreign Ministry that the liberation of the port of Hodeida would stop smuggling of Iranian weapons and ballistic missiles into Yemen and consequently to the hands of the Houthis.

The Yemeni ambassador pointed out to the keenness of his government and the Arab coalition countries that the ongoing military operations, in Hodeida, would not affect the civilian population, facilities and to guarantee arrival of humanitarian aid and relief coming through the port and work with its partners to carry out humanitarian relief in the city of Hodeida, coincidently with the conduct of military operations.

For his part, the Cuban official said his country stands by Yemen in its efforts to stop the war and bring peace about.
