BAGHDAD, A member of the former parliament of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Abdul Bari Zebari confirmed that "no distribution of presidential positions before the announcement of the final results of the elections."
Zebari told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / said, " The visit of the delegation of the Fatah Alliance and the state of law to Arbil is for dialogue and mutual debate between the political blocs, added we cannot agree on the mechanism of distribution of presidential posts without announcing the final results of the elections. "
Zebari said that "any current agreement (publicly or confidential) among the political blocs on the distribution of presidential posts cannot be put without the announcement of the Federal Court to ratify the final names of the winners of the elections and anything in this regard is premature."
On the issue of counting and sorting in Kirkuk, Zebari said that "doubts about counting and sorting electronic does not concerns only Kirkuk alone, but several other provinces," noting that "the declared results of the province of Kirkuk is unchanged."
The sources quoted Kurdish officials as saying that an agreement was made during the visit of the delegation of the Fatah Alliance and the state of law to Erbil that Massoud Barzani takes the presidency of the Republic and Nuri al-Maliki as prime minister and Khamis Khanjar as Speaker of the parliament.
The Electoral Commission completed yesterday the counting and sorting for stations and boxes questionable and submitted appeals in Kirkuk without announcing the results and moved to Sulaymaniyah for the same procedures.
