Barzani, Erdogan Emphasize The Consolidation Of Bilateral Relations

Baghdad, The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani confirmed the importance of the consolidation and development of bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey.

"In response to an official invitation from Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani participated in Ankara, along with a large number of heads of state, prime ministers and senior officials of the world at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Turkey," the statement said.

The statement added "the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan region was received, during the ceremony, by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Turkish Republic, during the meeting, the two sides stressed the good relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, and the consolidation and development of those relations."

According to the statement, "Barzani participated in the inauguration of Erdogan as President of Turkey, which took place in the presidential complex in the capital Ankara, in the presence of leaders of 22 countries, heads of government and parliaments of 28 countries, as well as the secretaries of six international organizations."
