MP Assaad Dergham said on Tuesday that the anticipated meeting between Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and Caretaker Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Gebran Bassil did not require any preparations and could take place at any time.
However, in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker said that communications were underway between the Future Movement and the Free Patriotic Movement.
"Each political party has the right to be represented in the government according to its size, otherwise we would be undermining the election results," he said, noting that complications were caused by a political party that claims representation larger than its size.
Dergham finally confirmed commitment to the Christian reconciliation, noting that the reactivation of Meerab agreement was a decision of the two parties concerned, not just that of the Free Patriotic Movement.
