Chinese president starts three-day visit to the UAE

Chinese President Xi Jinping has today arrived in Abu Dhabi on a three-day state visit to the United Arab Emirates, accompanied by First Lady Peng Liyuan.

The Chinese leader was received on arrival by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

They all exchanged cordial talks, focusing on strong historic relations and steadily-growing cooperation binding the United Arab Emirates and China in all fields.

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hailed the pivotal role being played by China regarding regional and international political and economic issues.

They underlined cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries to serve security, peace and development in the region and the world.

In a statement on his arrival at the presidential airport in Abu Dhabi, the Chinese leader said he was looking forward to meeting HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to exchange viewpoints and discuss means of bolstering joint ties.

President Xi Jinping said he was confident the visit would be successful and strengthen relations of friendship between the two countries and peoples thanks to joint efforts.
