Shamsi meets Bukhari, Kabbara, Merhebi and Shaar

The United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Hamad Saeed Al-Shamsi, on Friday welcomed at the Embassy headquarters in Yarzeh, Caretaker Labor Minister Mohammad Kabbara, Caretaker Minister of State for Refugee Affairs, Mouin Merhebi, and Saudi Minister Plenipotentiary Charges d'Affaires, Waleed Bukhari, and North Lebanon Mufti Sheikh Malek Shaar.

MPs Samir Jisr, Waleed Naarini, Tarek Merhebi, Mohammed Sleiman and Othman Alameddine were also present.

Ambassador Shamsi gave a lunch banquet in honor of his guests. Discussions reportedly touched on most recent developments in Lebanon, in general, and in the North, in particular.

Mufti Shaar also led Friday prayers in the presence of Ambassador Shamsi and his guest. In his sermon, Mufti Shaar underlined the dire need for strengthening unity of ranks and rejecting anything that might disintegrate it.

Shaar also heaped praise on the positive role undertaken by the UAE at the Lebanese and Arab arena.
