Work on the first phase of the water park in Manama will be completed late this year (2018).
Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs Dr. Nabil Abdul Fateh made the announcement as he inspected the progress of the first stage of the project.
He was accompanied during the inspection visit by Capital Trustees director-general Shawqiya Humaidan, Muharraq Municipality director-general Ibrahim Al-Jowder, ministry's officials and project engineers.
He directed to complete project in accordance with initial time-plans, underlined the importance of revamping the iconic water, which is located in central Manama.
He underlined the keenness of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Consultative Board of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) on the project.
The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning is undertaking the project, which covers 6.57 hectares, in cooperation with the Capital Trustees and and the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD).
He highlighted the directives given by Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf to expand public parks and recreational venues countrywide in line with Bahrain 2030 Vision.
