Manama, The 2030 Youth City Consultative Council convened for its final session, in the presence of Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari and Minister of Youth and State Affairs Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder.
The partners of the Youth Voice 2030 programme were also present � including Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the Council of Representatives, the Legislation and Legal Commission and the Bahrain Institution for Political Development (BIPD).
Winner of Youth Voice Badr Youssef Al-Badr chaired the inaugural session of the 2030 Youth City Consultative Council which discussed several proposals related to youth centres, sports clubs, university competitions and the development of centres.
Minister of Youth and State Affairs Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder addressed the session, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his royal keenness on promoting youth and sports in Bahrain.
He underlined the ministry's drive to support youth and open channels hear their opinions and viewpoints and meet their needs for programmes and activities commensurate with their age categories.
SCW Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari also addressed the final session of the 2030 Youth City Consultative Council stressing the importance of early recognition of women-related issues.
The 2013 Youth Voice programme representative an interactive activity ahead of the upcoming parliamentary and municipal elections, scheduled to be held late this year.
