Tunis, The first edition of the "Startup Africa Summit2018" hosted here in the Tunisian capital will bring together some 80 African and international speakers (CEO, investors, mentors, experts, institutional, confirmed startups) and some 112 African and international startups that will exhibit their solutions and innovations.
Over 20 African countries will be represented in this event and over 1,000 participants, including 250 foreigners, are expected to attend this edition that aims to promote innovation, creativity and new digital economies, the event's organiserSkandarHaddar told Tunisia's National News Agency (TAP) on Monday.
Taking place on October 2-3, the event will also help innovative startups to find the necessary funding and to open up internationally, he added.
On this occasion, fourteen startups including 8 Tunisian and 6 African startups active in the innovation and digital fields will compete. Only one will be rewarded.
Haddar further announced that the digital Francophonie will also be at heart of this event with the presentation of several actions, programmes and networks and the announcement of the 50th anniversary of La Francophonie in Tunis in 2020.
