Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Hakan Cakil, on Thursday highlighted the importance of the existing ties between Lebanon and Turkey, vowing to work on developing the relations with the Lebanese government.
"It is an honor to be an ambassador for Turkey in Lebanon; I will be highly keen on consolidating and bolstering the relations between the two countries. We are friends and brothers and one family, and our embassy is your second home," Cakil said during a lunch banquet hosted in his honor by head of "Allem Bil Kalam" Association, Mohammad Abdul Rahim Eid, in Mina, Tripoli.
"We will endeavor to develop the bilateral ties through educational, economic, tourism, and cultural interaction," the Ambassador indicated.
"We will work on developing the relations with the Lebanese government; and I ask for your support during my term," he told attendees, among whom members of the Future parliamentary bloc.
"I would like to be in a close relation and cooperate with everybody. The Embassy's doors will be open to everybody," he concluded.
