Saudi Arabia to host Gulf Economic Forum

Riyadh, Under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed bin Abdullah AlQasabi, the Federation of the Chambers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Council of Saudi Chambers will organize the 2nd Gulf Economic Forum in Riyadh on October 21-22.

Head of the GCC Chambers Federation, Mohammed Thani Mershid Al-Rumaithi, said that the Gulf Economic Forum comes in the context of the efforts being exerted by governments and the private sector in the GCC countries to strengthen economic cooperation.

He pointed out that the Forum's agenda includes the search for opportunities of economic integration, reviewing investment opportunities in the GCC states and how to benefit from relative advantages of these countries to achieve cooperation based on improving quality and positive competition to improve the Gulf product with focusing on the roles of the Gulf Customs Union, service logistics and their roles in the Gulf trade.
