Muscat, The Saudi-Omani Economic Forum started here today.
The Saudi powerful delegation included a group of businessmen, investors and representatives of various governmental bodies, including Ministry of Commerce and Investment; Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Transport; Public Investment Fund; General Investment Authority and Export Development Authority.
In his speech during the opening session of the forum, Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdurrahman Al-Omar, Governor of the General Investment Authority, who leads the Saudi delegation to the event, affirmed that this meeting reflects a depth of fraternal and historic relations between the two countries and peoples.
He added that the Kingdom, through the Vision 2030, seeks to enhance commercial and economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Oman, pointing out a new phase of joint cooperation between the two countries, citing the imminent operation of the direct land road between the two sides.
The Omani side highlighted the investment opportunities in Oman.
