Berri meets in Geneva with President of African Parliamentary Union

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, and the accompanying delegation continue to participate in the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference held in Geneva.

On the sidelines of the conference, Berri met, in the presence of the delegation, with Chairman of the Executive Committee of the African Parliamentary Union, Mr. Cipriano Cassama, Secretary-General Koffi Nzi, and Senator Ngayap Pierre Flambeau, with talks touching on the means to boost cooperation between Lebanon and African countries at all levels, and coordination between the parliaments of these countries.

"This is a bridge between all African countries and Lebanon that should be used in all areas, not only economic, but also cultural, parliamentary and governmental relations, and in all international and regional forums," Berri said in the wake of the meeting, hoping for future visits by those African officials to Lebanon, within the context of bolstering ties.
