Archaeological landmarks in Baha region dated back to more than 3000 years

Al Baha, The Shada Mountain in Al-Mikhhwat Province in Baha region is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and perhaps in the Middle East because of its unique geological formation including caves and grottoes engraved with drawings and inscriptions dated back to more than 3000 years ago.

Many of these rocks, due to weathering, look strange and unique and some are shaped in the forms of animals, human beings, birds, or other formations.

Also Thamudic drawings and writings existing in these caves show they were dwellings of ancient people on this mountain for thousands of years, where in many of the caves of this mountain, some inhabitants are still using them as dwellings. Today some of them attract tourists and geologist researchers from all over the world.
