Caretaker Minister of Economy and Trade, Raed Khoury, on Wednesday said that private generators' owners had defied the state when they announced temporary shutdown in protest at the Ministry's pricing of power, adding that they will be summoned before justice.
"Those who had shut down their generators will be summoned and the judiciary will have the final word," Khoury told an interview with Free Lebanon radio station.
He also indicated that generators whose owners refused to install meters would be confiscated.
"Those are making huge gains and they have to abide by the ministerial decisions," he said.
"We will not allow those to control people and take them hostage just to make gains," he underlined.
