Taymour Jumblatt, Bogdanov agree over necessity to form national unity government in Lebanon

Head of the "Democratic Gathering," MP Taymour Jumblatt, met in Moscow with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, over an array of most recent developments.

A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that talks also touched on the situation in Lebanon, with both sides focusing on "the necessity to form a national unity government led by Prime Minister-designate, Saad Hariri, in the nearest time possible."

The statement added that the Syrian side renewed its position supporting Lebanon's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, in addition to the non-interference of external sides on its domestic affairs.

The pair also discussed the situation in Syria and the refugee dossier.
