YCHO Condemns Al-Houthis for Using Patients as Human Shields in Yemen

Riyadh, Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations (YCHO) has condemned the criminal practices of Al-Houthi militias, which are continuing their flagrant violations of international humanitarian law, stressing the importance of complying with international laws that provide for the protection of civilians and their protection away from conflict zones.

In a statement issued by its media center, the YCHO explained that it was briefed on what has been published by a number of humanitarian and human rights organizations on the fact that Al-Houthi militias are using hospitals for military purposes, including taking positions on the roof of a hospital in the city of Hodeida and taking hospitals' patients as human shields for their military operations in a violation of the international humanitarian law and norms.
