Lebanese Embassy in Vatican celebrates Lebanon’s 75th Independence Day

The Lebanese Embassy in the Vatican held a reception ceremony on the occasion of Lebanon's 75th Independence Day, in the presence of Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rahi.

Lebanon's Ambassador to Vatican, Farid Khazen, who patronized the ceremony, told the National News Agency about the historical relations between Lebanon and the Holy See.

"Many people love Lebanon, for it has a unique historical relationship with the world and with the Vatican that cannot be measured according to certain standards, relations and situational interests," he said.

The diplomat affirmed that "the Lebanese President, Pope Francis and the Vatican's senior officials stress the need to strengthen and promote bilateral relations."
