Abu Dhabi, UAE Ministry of Tolerance organised the Communities Forum in Abu Dhabi concluding the specialised forums held during the National Tolerance Festival under the theme "On Zayed's Approach".
The Forum was attended by more than 70 public personalities of community leaders and ambassadors of friendly countries, along with business leaders, investors, thinkers and clergymen, members of diplomatic corps from around the world representing 60 countries, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, said the Ministry seeks through the Forum to attract and listen to the best ideas, suggestions and initiatives of community leaders who believe in the importance of promoting and enriching tolerance.
He also noted that the Tolerance Festival organised by the Ministry last week has achieved its strategic objectives, foremost of which is to emphasise that the tolerance principles in the UAE were instilled by the founding father the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He adopted tolerance and coexistence as one of the UAE's major approaches, which has made it a world example in tolerance.
