The first Innovative Arab Women Forum 2019 commenced its proceedings yesterday in a ceremony organized by "Diwan Ahl Al-Qalam" under the patronage of Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, represented by Minister of State for Social and Economic Rehabilitation of Youth and Women, Violette Khairallah Safadi.
In an address delivered marking the occasion, KSA Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, said, "Here we are today celebrating creativity and promoting acts that nurture it (...) The encouragement and support of creativity are some of the national priorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which believes in innovation as a tool to reach advanced levels of development."
Bukhari congratulated Lebanon for the "extraordinary forum" and congratulated all the organizers, hoping that this initiative would shine more light on creativity and talent.
During the celebration, honorary shields were bestowed upon the Director General of the Ministry of Economy, Alia Abbas, Judge Arlette Jreissati, National News Agency Director, Laure Sleiman Saab, President of the American University of Science and Technology, Dr. Hiyam Sakr, and other innovative and creative women.
