Future bloc on Tuesday convened at the Center House under the chairmanship of MP Bahia Hariri, to discuss most recent political developments on the local arena.
In a statement issued in the wake of the meeting and read out by MP Nazih Najem, the bloc reiterated the need to protect the government's program for economic advancement and to dissociate it from narrow political and partisan agendas.

"Consolidating fraternal relations with the Kingdom will bolster Lebanon's status among its brethrens and give a strong impetus to the government's advancement program, and renews the confidence of the Saudi and Gulf brethrens in Lebanon's role in its Arab environment," bloc maintained.
The bloc also pointed out that "the re-activation of channels of joint work between the concerned committees of both countries, a blessed step in the right direction."
