Languages and Translation at the Grand Holy Mosque use all modern technologies for live broadcasting in several languages

Makkah, The General Presidency for the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque Affairs, represented by the General Department for Guidance Affairs and the Department of Languages and Translation, has provided all modern techniques, sound engineering and microphones,to broadcast their messages via wireless frequencies covering all ancient halls and corridors of the Grand Holy Mosque.

The Director of the Department of Languages and Translation at the Mosque Ahmad Al-Humaidi said that the Presidency broadcasts a number of international languages including English, Persian, Indonesian, French and Urdu, which are verified by specialized linguistic committees and technical, engineering and administrative cadres that follow a number of mechanisms and monitor religious contents.

Al-Humaidi pointed out that the directives of the General President of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais aim at developing the language and Translation Department in the Mosque and increasing the number of languages to ten as the Mosque represents a cultural and linguistic diversity and spiritual enrichment for pilgrims and Umrah performers in consistent with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, to receive more than thirty million visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

He explained that the translation of these languages is broadcast through the following frequencies: "Urdu at frequency 90.200, English at frequency 100.00, Indonesian at frequency 90.500, Persian at 95.200 frequency, and French at 99.00 frequency.
