Speaker of the Punjab Parliament receives the Imam of the Grand Mosque

Lahore, The Speaker of the Pakistani Punjab Enclave Parliament Chaudhary Pervez Ilahi received here today the Imam of Makkah-based Grand Mosque Dr. Abdullah bin Awwad Al-Juhani, currently on a visit to Pakistan.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and ways of enhancing them were discussed.

Ilahi confirmed that Pakistan views with all respect the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supports the decisions of its leadership as regards the support for regional and international stability, the service of Islam and Muslims and the care for pilgrims and Umrah performers.

He lauded Saudi positions towards Pakistan during tough times.

For his part, Al-Juhani said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince attach great attention to the relations with Pakistan.

He said he felt that the Pakistani people do love the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, and a number of senior Punjab officials.
