Riyadh, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federative Republic of Brazil issued today the following statement:
"At the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency President Jair Bolsonaro of the Federative Republic of Brazil paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with an accompanying delegation comprising a number of ministers, parliamentarians and businesspersons during the period of 29-30, October, 2019.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, President Jair Bolsonaro. The two sides held official talks in which they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing and strengthening them in the political, economic, cultural and military fields. The two sides also exchanged views on all regional and international issues of common interest.
The leaderships of the two countries considered the visit of the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Kingdom as an important step in consolidating bilateral relations between the two countries, citing the agreements signed and the issues discussed during the visit in addition to the large delegation that accompanied President Jair Bolsonaro.
In this context, the two sides stressed enhancing defense cooperation between the two friendly countries and agreed to continue cooperation in the fields of training.
The two sides agreed that the exchange of visits between the two countries at various levels would contribute to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. They also agreed to intensify contacts and cooperation between officials of the government and the private sectors of the two countries aiming at deepening and expanding bilateral relations and encouraging mutual investment.
