Baghdad, Former Deputy Prime Minister Bahaa Al-Araji said today, Sunday, that the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, came after the failed attempts to make Al-Kadhimi’s visit to Iran before Saudi Arabia.

Al-Araji said in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received a copy of it: The visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif came after the failure of attempts to make the visit of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to Iran before Saudi Arabia.

He added: This is a development in foreign policy that Iraq plays the role of mediator with its neighbors and not a postman as some of them want.
