African Union supports the implementation of ceasefire in Libya

Addis Ababa, Ismail Chergui, Commissioner for Peace and Security Commission at Addis-Ababa-based African Union (AU) today reiterated his organization’s support for the warring parties to implement the articles of the ceasefire agreement in Libya, which was signed in Geneva last October under the supervision of the United Nation.
The AU supports the Libyan warring foes to get the ceasefire implemented on the ground and their national unity achieved, Chergui confirmed, citing the agreement as stating the importance of the departure of foreign worriers in 90 days and the formation of a joint force to be administered by a unified operation room.
