BHF holds graduation ceremony for level three handball coaches
The Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) concluded on Wednesday the level three handball coaching course, organised by the training and development centre of the BHF and supervised by the International Handball Federation (IHF) and the Asian Handball Federation (AHF). The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, the General Sports Authority (GSA) Chief Executive Officer, Badr Dhiyab, Vice President of the International Handball Federation for Asia, and many sports personalities, lecturers, and students. Ali Isa Ishaqi, President of BHF, emphasised the importance of the handball courses to develop the skills of Bahraini coaches and their training capabilities under the supervision of the national federation and AHF. He emphasised the role of national coaches in developing Bahraini handball. Ishaqi commended the continuous support of Bahrain's Olympic Committee (BOC) and the General Sports Authority (GSA), as well as sponsoring companies and clubs. He highlighted the contributions of natio nal lecturers to the course, led by Dr. Nabil Taha, and international lecturers, including Essam Abdullah and Ali Al Anzoor. Ishaqi commended the commitment and efforts of the 40 participants during the course. For his part, Dhiyab commended the advancement of Bahraini handball teams and BHF's commitment to developing the game. Dr. Taha commended the federation's efforts in hosting the course and its readiness to organise the level two course, which will be held in November. Eastern Province Municipality Commences Road Maintenance and Safety Upgrades on King Fahd Road
Dammam: The Eastern Province Municipality initiated maintenance and traffic safety enhancements on King Fahd Road (Dammam-Khobar Expressway) starting yesterday. The project starts from the intersection of Ali bin Abi Talib Street in Dammam to the junction of King Salman Road in Khobar Governorate. Industry Ministry signs service level agreements with commercial sector
The Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has signed three service level agreements between the ministry and the commercial sector to address consumer complaints from citizens and residents in Bahrain. Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade at the ministry, said that the signing of these agreements is a part of the operational and development plan of the directorate, following the signing of the three Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) last year with Lulu Hypermarket, Talabat, and Extra, which expanded this year to include Ramez, Jahez and Just Clean Internet Services. Shaikh Hamad bin Salman underscored the directorates' commitment to enhancing the quality and efficiency of services by harnessing modern technologies and utilising partnerships with the commercial sector. The agreement also includes terms and conditions under which the two signatory parties will provide services to consumers, by setting the foundations an d framework for providing high quality services, following Law (35) of 2012 on consumer protection and its executive regulations. He emphasised that this step aims to obtain a mutual agreement between the government sector and the commercial sector to ensure the provision of distinguished services to consumers by directing, resolving, and addressing complaints received before the expiry of the period specified in the service level agreement, while defining responsibilities, duties, and obligations of both parties and achieving common goals and enhancing mutual trust. Tashkent: A Saudi-Uzbek Shura Council Parliamentary Friendship Committee delegation, headed by Chairman of the Committee Dr. Muhammad Al-Jarbaa, met with Chairperson of Uzbekistan's Senate Tanzila Narbaeva as part of its official visit to Uzbekistan. Narbaeva underscored the significance of relations across all fields between the two countries. The two sides then discussed ties and means to boost them, parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Senate of Uzbekistan, as well as several issues of common interest. Shenzhou-18 taikonauts complete second spacewalk
The Shenzhou-18 taikonauts on board China's orbiting space station completed their second spacewalk at 10:51 pm (Beijing Time) on Wednesday, according to the China Manned Space Agency. Ye Guangfu, Li Cong and Li Guangsu worked for about 6.5 hours to complete multiple tasks, with Li Guangsu remaining inside the space station, Xinhua News Agency reported. With the assistance of the space station's robotic arm and researchers on Earth, they installed space debris protection devices for the pipelines, cables and key equipment outside the Tiangong space station, and conducted an extravehicular inspection. Ye Guangfu and Li Cong, who were assigned the spacewalk duty, have since returned safely to the Wentian lab module. The trio have completed one third of their space journey and are scheduled to carry out a large amount of in-orbit scientific experiments and technological tests, the agency said.
