PM invites Italian companies to invest in Iraq

Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani called on Italian companies to invest in Iraq, which is witnessing a wide investment movement, and the housing sector will have a large share in it.

Al-Sudani said during his meeting with the Italian ambassador to Iraq, Maurizio Cricanti, that the government has provided an appropriate investment environment through which it seeks to reach a state of economic integration with brotherly and friendly countries.

A statement by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers stated that during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation in the field of economy and investment and ways to develop it, in addition to touching on Iraq's largest project represented by the Development Road, and the projects of the port of Faw, the industrial city and the residential city.

For his part, Cricanti conveyed the Italian Prime Minister's greetings to Al-Sudani, renewing her invitation to him to visit the Italian capital, Rome, and emphasizing the importance of developing cooperation relations between the two friendly countries, in a way that contributes to promoting the interests of their peoples.
