Rawan Bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Youth Affairs Minister participated in a youth discussion organised by the ministry, on the sideline of its celebration of Gulf Youth Day.

During the session, the minister and youth from the GCC discussed ideas and suggestions regarding the future of Gulf youth action, developing opportunities, advancing joint Gulf efforts in the youth sector, and intellectual interests of the youth and their future aspirations.

As we celebrate Gulf Youth Day, we are reminded of the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as well as that of GCC leaders to support youth and empower them so that they can contribute to the development of their nations, Tawfiqi said.

Minister Tawfiqi affirmed Bahrain’s support of joint Gulf efforts to support the youth sector, underlining belief in the capabilities of Bahraini and Gulf youth in shaping the future of the region.

Bahrain is committed to ensuring that youth policies and strategies promote the intellectual, cultural, scientific, and technological advancement of young people, as well as supporting their initiatives and innovations, she said.

Youth are the most valuable resource in the GCC, the minister added, noting the importance of their role in development efforts.
