The US State Department confirmed that the United States does not believe that Syria deserves to return to the Arab League at this stage.
The US State Department said, according to Al-Jazeera satellite channel: that Washington understands that the partners are seeking direct contact with Bashar al-Assad to pressure for a solution to the Syrian crisis.
The US State Department continued: We question Assad's desire to resolve the Syrian crisis, but we agree with the Arab partners on the ultimate goals.
