ZATCA thwarts attempt to smuggle more than 2 million Captagon pills hidden in “tomatoes and pomegranates” shipment

Riyadh, The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has thwarted an attempt to smuggle 2,015,116 million Captagon tablets at Al Haditha port, which were found hidden in a shipment coming to the Kingdom through the port.

ZATCA stated that a shipment of "tomatoes and pomegranates" was carried on one of the incoming trucks. During a routine inspection of one of the vehicles, the drugs were found hidden inside the cavities of tomato and pomegranate.
