10th Citrus Festival to Launch in Al-Hareeq Governorate on Wednesday

Al-hareeq: Under the patronage of Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the 10th Citrus Festival will launch on Wednesday in Al-Hareeq Governorate. Organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the festival aims to support local farmers, promote their products, and contribute to food security, while enhancing tourism and recreational activities in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival will run for ten days, seeking to boost national agricultural production, develop farmers' technical and marketing capabilities, and highlight Al-Hareeq's agricultural identity and environmental diversity. The event is intended to position Al-Hareeq as a distinctive agricultural and tourist destination.

The ministry said the festival will feature a wide range of events and activities, most notably a major exhibition bringing together the largest number of farmers and companies specializing in local citrus and fruit products, as well as dates and honey. Participating restaurants and caf©s will showcase locally sourced produce, alongside innovative initiatives and digital marketing solutions supporting the agricultural sector.

Visitors from within and outside the region are invited to attend the festival, explore the quality of local products, and enjoy its vibrant atmosphere. Previous editions of the festival achieved notable success, recording unprecedented levels of commercial activity, sales volume, and visitor attendance, underscoring its growing importance in the region.
