TEHRAN, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has called for forming a group that includes Iraq, Iran and the Gulf states to preserve security and stability, considering that "The door to dialogue with the UAE and Saudi Arabia is open" .
Zarif today held a press conference on the occasion of the reporter's day on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Iranian correspondent Mahmoud Sarimi in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan.
Zarif said: Today there are two speeches in the world, facing each other; the first speech is peace, dialogue, pluralism and the other forcing, terrorism and violation of laws.
"Today, after 18 years, the United States got out humiliated from Afghanistan, and in Iraq and Syria, which has created Daesh (ISIS), America has not reaped only failure, and also in the Gulf, where there has been nothing but massacres. Where did it go, it faces humiliation "He said, adding that "the United States did not win any war it has fought in the last 70 years only the invasion of "Grenada".
He added, "What does it mean to ban a foreign minister?" Zarif said, answering "Means failure in dialogue and diplomacy, and this is the difference between the two speeches in one track.
"We will not buy security from outside, and our security stems from the people," he said, pointing out that "America today is living in isolation and its attempts to form a coalition in the Gulf failed.
He said "When I became minister, I wrote an article in the Middle East that we are still ready for dialogue. Dialogue serves the region and its countries. The siege of a country in the GCC by three other countries in this council is not right. We must strengthen dialogue in the region, and we believe "it is the necessary to hold talks that include Iran, Iraq and the six countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Answering a question about the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's contact with Tehran, Zarif said: "I do not know what this connection is or what is going on in the Saudi crown prince's head. They thought they could control Yemen in a few weeks. We believe people can never be defeated.
