Saudi Arabia affirms commitment of OPEC members and non-OPEC producers to coordinate production and balance in oil markets

BAGHDAD, Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih affirmed the commitment of OPEC members and non-OPEC producers to coordinate production and strive to achieve balance in oil markets.

"Saudi Arabia is keen to stabilize the oil market, especially since the kingdom is the reliable supplier of crude oil in the world," Falih said during a meeting in Washington with US Energy Secretary Rick Perry.

The two sides also discussed the situation of the oil market and ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and investments in the fields of energy, industry, climate and technology.

The two sides reviewed the threats to freedom of navigation in the Arabian Gulf, stressing the determination of the two countries to work together to ensure the security of global energy supplies.
