Riyadh– Shura Council delegation, headed by the chairman of the Saudi-European Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Dr. Ayman bin Saleh Fadel, will embark on a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels, at the invitation of the European Parliament.
Fadel, in a press statement ahead of the visit, said that the visit corresponds to Shura Council’s efforts regarding its roles related to parliamentary diplomacy and its role in enhancing cooperation between the Shura Council and the European Parliament, adding that the visit will include various meetings with the Belgian side to discuss several issues that contribute to strengthening bilateral ties, especially parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Belgian Federal Parliament.
During the visit, the delegation will hold the fifteenth parliamentary meeting between the Kingdom and the European Union, and will also meet with several members of the European Parliament, the Belgian Federal Parliament, and senior officials in the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Shura Council delegation had arrived in Brussels and was received by the Saudi Ambassador to Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Jandan, and several embassy officials, as well as officials from the Kingdom's mission to the European Union.
The Shura delegation also includes Dr. Khalid bin Mahmoud Zubair, Raeda bint Abdullah Abu Nayan, Dr. Mutaib bin Ayed Al-Mutairi, Dr. Hadi bin Ali Al-Yami, and Huda bint Abdulrahman Al-Helisi.
