NSSA Participates in Youth City 2030

Manama,The National Space Science Agency (NSSA) participated for the first time in Youth City 2030 in its 13th edition with its Space Station Programme for ages 9-14. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, NSSA CEO, underscored the importance of creating a generation that is fully aware of the significance of space sciences and their role in positioning Bahrain as a leading country in this field. He added that the NSSA is committed to raising awareness among the community about space sciences. Dr. Al Aseeri mentioned that the programme was developed by NSSA employees from the satellite and ground station construction team, and the space image and data analysis team. The teams reviewed the best internationally approved training curricula for this age group while preparing the programme. He further explained that the programme primarily aims to introduce astronomy and space sciences, the types of spacecraft, and methods of manufacturing them. During the meeting, the ministers discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas, electricity, renewable energy, and hydrogen, aiming to achieve their common aspirations in these fields, in alignment. In the category of international airports serving 5 to 15 million passengers annually, King Fahd International Airport tied for first pl ace, with a 91% compliance rate. Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport followed with a 82% compliance rate. In the 2 to 5 million annual passenger category, Abha International Airport and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport in Jizan demonstrated a 100% compliance rate. However, Abha International Airport outperformed King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport by surpassing higher targets in the specified evaluation criteria.
