MTC4L supports local population and children

At a historically peculiar moment for Lebanon, the Military Technical Committee for Lebanon - MTC4L, under Italian leadership, continues its action of support to the Lebanese population, this time paying attention to the little ones. During the past days, infact, in the context of humanitarian initiatives, the Committee has made food donations, involving some locations in different and important Lebanese cities. The Franciscan convents of the Custody of the Holy Land of the cities of Beirut and Tripoli were involved, providing material for communities in southern, central and northern Lebanon. Moreover, in these circumstances, MTC4L donated food - kits for the most needy and, on a day entirely dedicated to it, food items to children. In this virtually itinerant route, the Military Technical Committee, thanks to the support of the motherhouse of NGO mentioned above, has not only provided humanitarian support but also given smiles to those who, at the moment, suffers from deteriorating security conditions an d the very heavy economic - financial crisis. The donations will also provide maintenance for the Terra Sancta Summer Camp, a recreational and convivial reality where children play and have fun away from everyday worries, and where religious differences, which reflect the religious heterogeneity of Lebanon, find a perfect space for synthesis, blithe and gregarious. MTC4L, a multilateral humanitarian and capacity building initiative led by the Major General Diodato Abagnara, operates in full compliance with the UN resolutions, bilateral and international missions already present on the territory and is currently composed by the following 8 partner countries: Italy, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
