22 Projects Open for Feedback Through Istitlaa Public Consultation Platform

Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has unveiled 22 projects focused on economic and development affairs. In collaboration with 14 government agencies, the center is inviting feedback from the public, government bodies, and private sector stakeholders on these projects before they receive approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, key among the projects is the 'General Rules for the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (Taqeem) Fellowship Certificate.' Launched by the Saudi Authority of Accredited Valuers, this initiative seeks to enhance theoretical knowledge and professional competency in the evaluation field. The project also emphasizes systemic, professional, and ethical responsibilities. Public feedback for this project is open until May 3, 2026, via the Istitlaa platform.

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission is also seeking input on 'Regulations for Coverage and Speeds of Mobile Telecommunications Services.' This project aims to bring transparency to obligations surrounding mobile service coverage and data speeds, consolidated from various licenses and agreements. The consultation period for this project extends until May 10, 2026.

Additionally, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has presented several projects for public consultation. One of them, 'Requirements and Conditions for the Clearance of Products Regulated by the Authority for Exhibitions, Conferences, and Seasons,' aims to update clearance requirements for products at public events. Another project, 'Localization Mechanism for the Jobs of Advertising of Pharmaceutical and Herbal Products,' seeks to define job roles and supervisory responsibilities within the localization framework. Feedback deadlines for these projects are May 17, 2026, and May 20, 2026, respectively.

The Public Security Directorate has introduced a project titled 'Adding Several Provisions to the Executive Regulation of the Traffic Law Concerning Autonomous Vehicles.' This initiative focuses on setting regulations for the use of autonomous vehicles, including legal responsibilities, safety standards, and licensing procedures. The public can provide their feedback on this project until May 20, 2026.

The Istitlaa platform's introduction of these draft regulations and projects underscores a commitment to transparency and public involvement in legislative processes. It enables citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to actively participate by offering their insights and feedback on proposed business regulations.
