940 Center and Field Teams Drive Seamless Municipal Services for Pilgrims

Makkah: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing confirmed that the Holy Makkah Municipality continues implementing its operational and field plans during the 1447 AH Hajj season through an integrated municipal ecosystem supported by the unified call center (940) and digital channels to enhance municipal services for pilgrims in Makkah and the holy sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the center 940 processed more than 770 service reports between Dhu Al-Hijjah 4 and 8 amid high crowd density and continuous pilgrim movement, reflecting the readiness of field teams and round-the-clock operations. Reports mainly involved public cleanliness, environmental sanitation, and public facility services, with specialized teams responding through proactive operational plans to maintain urban environmental quality and improve municipal service efficiency.

Field teams also handled public health and safety cases under urgent procedures, achieving a 100% immediate response rate for critical reports. Additionally, the center received 236 multilingual calls, supporting pilgrims' access to municipal services and enhancing their overall service experience throughout the Hajj season.
