Hail: The Abu Al-Houl Mountain, situated in the village of Aba Al-Hiran, approximately 120 kilometers southwest of Hail Region within the Aja Mountains, was formed over thousands of years through natural erosion and weathering. These processes have sculpted the rock into a remarkable formation resembling a human head, giving rise to its name "Abu Al-Houl" (sphinx) and establishing it as a significant natural landmark and tourist attraction in the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, researcher in history and ancient astronomy Mishari Al-Nashmi explained that the mountain is characterized by its rock formations of various shapes and sizes. These formations have been crafted over extensive periods through the effects of physical and chemical weathering, alongside rainfall and humidity. The site is abundant in unique geological features, contributing to its scientific and natural importance, while also attracting geology enthusiasts to the Hail Region.
