Al-Ahsa’s Nakheel Village Experiences Increased Demand for Dates

Nakheel village: Nakheel Village in Al-Ahsa has witnessed a significant surge in the purchase of various types of dates and related food products, coinciding with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this event is part of the National Center for Palms and Dates' ongoing efforts to highlight the economic and historical significance of palm trees and raise awareness of dates and their value-added products. It supports the region's tourism and cultural initiatives and aligns with broader national development goals, attracting a large number of visitors and enthusiasts from across Eastern Region.

The center also provides financial support to farmers, enabling them to purchase essential agricultural inputs and supplies, and contributes to enhancing production quality and promoting the adoption of best agricultural practices.

Nakheel Village is held in Al-Ahsa Oasis, covering over 90,000 square meters. Running for three months, it aims to showcase Saudi dates and promote rural products and traditional handicrafts. This initiative highlights Al-Ahsa Governorate's agricultural and cultural heritage, reinforcing its status as a top destination for rural and cultural tourism.
