Riyadh: Al-Azhar condemned in the strongest terms the attacks on Saudi Arabia, stressing that they constitute a clear violation of Islamic principles of good neighborliness and the rights of neighbors. In a statement Tuesday, Al-Azhar said the attacks also constitute an unacceptable infringement on Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, security, and stability.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Azhar warned of the dangers of escalation and its repercussions for regional security and stability, as well as the potential threat to innocent civilians and the risk of deepening tensions and conflict. It called on all parties to exercise restraint and spare the region further escalation and tensions. It also urged them to prioritize reason and wisdom in a manner that preserves regional security and stability and protects the resources of its peoples.
