Al-Haram Emergency Hospital MSU Contributes to Rapid Life-Saving Intervention for Pilgrims

Makkah: The Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU) at Al-Haram Emergency Hospital has contributed to providing rapid medical intervention and life-saving care within the central area of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, which is currently witnessing a high density of pilgrims. This rapid intervention, within the urgent care system within the Saudi healthcare model, helped enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Cluster stated that a specialized Saudi medical team from the hospital successfully handled an emergency stroke case involving a pilgrim. The patient was immediately transferred to the hospital's mobile stroke unit, where diagnostic examinations and a CT scan confirmed the presence of a stroke. The Saudi medical team promptly provided treatment, stabilizing the patient within the golden hour in line with international emergency recommendations.

This achievement reflects the readiness of healthcare facilities in Makkah, the efficiency of Saudi medical personnel, and the facilitation of rapid intervention to save lives and reduce complications resulting from strokes.
