Al-Jazirah Editor-in-Chief Discusses Journalism and AI Transformations

Riyadh:SPA News Training Academy: The SPA News Training Academy recently hosted Khalid Al-Malik, the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Jazirah newspaper, for the inaugural session of its Newstalk media expertise platform.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the session was titled 'From Paper to Artificial Intelligence: A Journey Through the Transformations of Journalism' and attracted over 300 young men and women interested in pursuing careers in the media industry.

Al-Malik discussed the significant changes that journalism has experienced over the past 50 years, emphasizing the impact of technological advancements on media tools. Despite these changes, he stressed that credibility, professionalism, and responsibility continue to be fundamental principles of journalism.

He also commended the program aimed at empowering university graduates for careers in media, underlining the academy's contribution to aligning academic training with the industry's requirements. Al-Malik highlighted that the program's specializations are designed to meet the actual needs of the sector as it rapidly evolves.
