The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, confirmed the issuance of direct directives to the Minister of Youth and Sports to support youth and sports forums in all regions of Iraq.

Al-Sudani indicated, during his meeting with the delegation of our Olympic team, which won the West Asian Championship UN- 23, which was hosted by Iraq that "sport occupies a special place among Iraqis, which prompts the government to do a lot for the sake of sport, stressing that the national teams that have achieved impressive achievements will be able, through support, to put Iraqi football on the podiums.

He explained that honoring the teams, in various sports fields, represents a message of interest from the government, as it represents a governmental approach and direction for our belief in the importance of sport, indicating that hosting tournaments indicates the stability of countries and their ability to organize sports tournaments that represent a means of communication between peoples, and not just a hobby.

For his part, the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, thanked the Prime Minister for the great support he provides to Iraqi sports in its various fields, especially football. The Olympic team coach, Radhi Shenaishel, also expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the warm reception and the distinguished interest he shows to Iraqi sports and football.
