Paris:The AlUla Artist Residency Programme participants have achieved international acclaim by securing awards at the fourth edition of the Design Award organized by the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi architect and artist Aseel Alamoudi received the Emerging Talent Award for her project "Playformation: The Curve and The Dot," which draws inspiration from AlUla's distinctive rock formations and natural curves.
Altin Studio, founded by Yasmine Sfar and Mehdi Kebaier, was honored with the Contemporary Craftsmanship Award for their work "Our AlUla Trilogy" (2025). This project includes three pieces titled "Wadi," "Waha," and "Yusr," crafted from palm wood and plant fibers. The project merges traditional crafts with contemporary design, inspired by the landscape and natural materials of AlUla, while also reflecting the palm cultures of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
These international accolades highlight the AlUla Artist Residency's expanding influence and the growing global recognition of its creative contributions. This achievement is part of the broader cultural and artistic developments in AlUla, fostered through its varied residency programs, exhibitions, events, and festivals.
