AlUla Summer Fruits Season Showcases Oasis Harvest and Local Cuisine

Riyadh: During the Summer Fruits Season, AlUla Governorate offers a tourism experience combining the oasis's agricultural richness and local culinary arts, as seasonal crops move from palm groves and farms to restaurants and caf©s housed in historic mud buildings, overlooking palm oases, or set within desert resorts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the season, running until July 22, features peak production of AlUla's most renowned crops including grapes, mangoes, figs, and pomegranates. AlUla dates feature in dishes, pastries, and desserts, while local citrus fruits are used in salads, drinks, and light dishes.

AlManshiyah Farmers Market is one of the season's most prominent stops, allowing visitors to purchase fresh fruits directly from farmers and sample them at peak ripeness, alongside products from productive families and home-based businesses using AlUla's seasonal crops.

The summer fruits season, the first of the annual Khayrat AlUla seasons, reflects the integration of agriculture, tourism, and culture by transforming oasis crops into comprehensive hospitality experiences that support farmers and highlight AlUla's agricultural heritage.
