Arab League Gears Up for Landmark Meeting with EU in Brussels

Cairo: Permanent representatives at the Arab League convened today at the league's headquarters, led by Ambassador Hamad Al-Zaabi, the Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the Arab League. The focus of the meeting was to prepare for the 10th joint session between the Arab League's permanent representatives and the EU's Political and Security Committee ambassadors, set for November 4 in Brussels.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom's delegation was headed by Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar, its Permanent Representative to the Arab League. During the meeting, Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs at the Arab League, Ambassador Dr. Khaled Manzlawiy, provided an update on the preparations for the upcoming session. He highlighted that these joint meetings are crucial for strengthening relations between Arab and European nations and enhancing cooperation mechanisms, particularly after a pause of nearly three years. Manzlawiy also underscored that Arab-European cooperation is one of the most important frameworks connecting the Arab League with international entities.
