Arab Traffic Conference Kicks Off in Tunis

Tunis:The 22nd Arab Conference of Heads of Traffic Services commenced at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers with participation from traffic authority leaders and representatives from across the Arab countries. Attendees also included representatives from Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom's delegation is led by Major General Engineer Ali bin Mohsen Al-Zahrani, Head of the General Directorate of Traffic.

During the opening address, Mohammed bin Ali Koman, Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to reduce traffic accidents. He emphasized the need to raise road user awareness about traffic rule adherence and to address factors such as road defects and vehicle conditions.

Koman also highlighted the significance of using awareness materials from various Arab countries and adopting creative ideas and approaches from the Arab world.
